A short portrait

about the everyday life of Qxelani Sithole, a smallholder farmer and one of 25 gender activists at PYCD (Platform for Youth and Community Development) in Chipinge, Zimbabwe. She too was strongly affected by patriarchal culture. Through PYCD she was empowered to empower herself and other (young) women and to support the community to strive for a progressive Ndau culture. The work of the gender activists is showing great success.
